Meet Your Hosts
Hi there! We are Greg and Katlyn from Lafayette, LA. We visited Broken Bow many years ago, and fell in love with the area instantly. Since then we have visited dozens of times throughout the years. Each and every place we stayed, we found ourselves talking about what type of cabin we would like to have if we could ever build here one day.
Those conversations turned into driving around the area, "hypothetically" pointing out lots where we would build. Eventually, we turned our "what if" into a "why not?" and built the cabin of our dreams. We designed it ourselves from top to bottom, and our hearts are so full with the way it turned out.

Hochatown was already our favorite escape from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life, but even more-so now that we have our home away from home! We hope you too will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of our cabin and Hochatown.
Your Stay:
We manage the cabin ourselves, and we pride ourselves on being available to our guests for any needs that may arise during their stay. You will be provided with our cell phone number and may reach us via text or call. You will also be given access to an online guidebook that outlines all of the need-to-know information about the cabin, as well as fun ideas for things to do while you're in Hochatown!
The Name: ForestSide Retreat
Named after the retreat like environment the cabin embodies, with 1.2 acres of talking pines, we want this to be a place where you feel inspired to write your own adventure story. No matter who you are, where you're coming from, or what you're walking through, we hope some time at our cabin will help you get back to you.​
